School of Advanced Science on Nitrogen Cycling, Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change |
O Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura (CENA) da USP e o Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI) realizaram a School of Advanced Science on Nitrogen Cycling, Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change, em Piracicaba (SP).
A Escola foi financiada pelo FAPESP, por meio do programa Escola São Paulo de Ciência Avançada (ESPCA), e teve apoio do Inpe, da UnB e da International Nitrogen Initiative (INI).
O curso de dez dias consistiu de palestras, lições teóricas, trabalho de campo, sessões para discussão de literatura científica e apresentação de pôsteres de estudantes.
Cerca de 100 estudantes de graduação, 50 do Brasil e 50 de outros países, foram selecionados para participar do evento. Candidatos deviam estar matriculados em um programa de graduação. Os organizadores encorajaram a participação de estudantes de diferentes disciplinas acadêmicas (das ciências Biológicas, Sociais e Humanas e de Engenharia) com trabalho acadêmico e estudos estejam relacionados com os ciclos do nitrogênio e temas relacionados.
