ESPCA - Avanços na Pesquisa e Tratamento do Comportamento Autístico |
O programa visa atualizar o conhecimento sobre pesquisa e aplicação da tecnologia comportamental gerada por esta pesquisa na área do autismo, e fomentar intercâmbio acadêmico de modo a produzir no futuro próximo projetos colaborativos de pesquisa.
A ênfase do programa encontra-se em abordagens sobre o comportamento autista, mas apresenta também multidisciplinaridade envolvendo as áreas de psicologia experimental, genética, medicina celular e molecular, e educação especial. Pesquisadores do Brasil, América do Norte e Europa participarão do evento, com maior número de participantes da América do Norte.
O programa combina apresentações orais, workshops e sessões de painéis, e participarão, além dos palestrantes convidados, alunos do Brasil e do exterior escolhidos através de um processo de seleção rigoroso, promovendo a integração dos participantes.
O programa, além da pesquisa de ponta, procura facilitar a transferência do conhecimento através de workshops que terão enfoque educativo e na pesquisa translacional, e serão acessíveis à população de cuidadores de indivíduos com a síndrome do autismo. Nota-se no programa um número razoável de jovens pesquisadores brasileiros que atuam com destaque no exterior.
O programa também procura estabelecer um equilíbrio entre pesquisadores com experiência longa e expressiva juntamente com jovens pesquisadores, cujos trabalhos têm se destacado academicamente.
Consideramos o programa com importância tanto científica quanto social. A importância científica relaciona-se aos temas sobre pesquisa de ponta em desenvolvimento de linguagem e de comportamentos importantes para o desenvolvimento cognitivo de indivíduos com a Síndrome do Autismo.
A importância tecnológica e social é, a partir da pesquisa científica de ponta, tornar o conhecimento produzido por esta área disponível e aplicável no setor educativo que atende esta população.
